Who comes for counselling?
People who come for counselling are ordinary people who are experiencing life as being painful. This may be due to problems in a relationship, work-related stress, the loss of a loved one, anxiety or perhaps a general sense of unhappiness.
Talking to a trained counsellor is a way to understand yourself and your life more fully and, through this, to start to take responsibility for making different choices for yourself.
How long does counselling last?
I offer both short-term and long-term work. The number of sessions will depend on the reasons why you are seeking counselling. Some people come to counselling with very specific issues whilst others come with a more general sense of unease and dissatisfaction.
How much does it cost?
I charge £50 per session. All sessions last 50 minutes and take place on a regular day and time each week.
Is counselling confidential?
Counselling is a place of safety and trust. Counselling is confidential.
In line with best counselling practice, I take aspects of my work to a supervisor in order to have another professional perspective. Your anonymity is respected throughout this process.
When do you have appointments?
I work Monday and Wednesday evenings.
How easy is it to get to you?
